TERRARIUM MAKING FOR KIDS
WITH FLEURIEU GIFTS
Sunday 4 December 10.30-11.15AM
Terrariums are like tiny gardens encased in glass – miniature worlds that can transport you to a rainforest jungle teeming with dinosaurs or to a fairy-tale forest with shy forest creatures. In this workshop run especially for kids, Charlene from Fleurieu Gifts will explain the basics of how to create your very own terrarium, including the different kinds of plants that can be used.
Along with learning the basics of terrarium making, each child will take home their very own terrarium, planted with their choice of plants along with some super cute additions – think dinosaurs, toadstools and tiny animals – but feel free to bring along your own special additions if you’d like. A spray bottle for watering is also included so watering at home is extra fun.
Please note that this workshop runs for 45 minutes and will finish at 11:15am.
What you need to bring:
Old clothes – you might get dirty, potting mix is involved!
What we provide:
Pebbles, moss, potting mix and all plants
Terrarium figures and decorations
As we will be handling glass and some work can be tricky, this workshop is suitable for children aged 5 and up. All children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult for the full duration of the workshop. Accompanying parents do not need to purchase a ticket, tickets are only required for children taking part.
Any questions please email Charlene at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0405109685.
