Heather Harris of This Wee Piggy, is an accessories designer who’s really into her music and one of the most gorgeously stylish people we know. We asked her to give us her top music picks for each day of Womad, and which earrings she was planning to wear.

If you’d like to win a pair of This Wee Piggy earrings of your choice, email us at hello@www.brickandmortarcreative.com.au by the last day of Womad (Monday 12 March) and let us know what you enjoy or would like to see more (or less) of in our newsletters! Winner will be randomly drawn Tuesday 13 March.

For the first bright night of Womad go bold with colour with these Scallop Studs in blue + pink ($30)
Listen to beautiful Australian storyteller Didirri, a young singer-songwriter from Warrnambool, and see the skies above Botanic Park transformed by Gratte Ciel’s extraordinary “Place des Anges” (Place of Angels), in a magically joyous aerial ballet.

Smooth swinging shapes with a set of acrylic Bubbles in Black earrings ($30) are perfect for shaking it to Baker Boy (twice winner NT Song of the Year Awards and top honours in triple j Unearthed’s NIMA Competition) and the explosive cocktail of party music of Chico Trujillo.

Pretty Scallop Hoops ($30) in cherry wood and acrylic that hold their own are perfect for Dan Sultan‘s gospel, soul and electronica influenced gritty blues-rock sound. And of course The Avalanches are on everyone’s must see list – sixteen years on from their worldwide hit Since I Left You, when they returned with a vengeance with their stunning 2016 album Wildflower; a heady psychedelic blast of sunshine pop and feet friendly rhythms.

The last hoorah calls for long and luscious tassels with candy pink Tickler earrings ($35). Soaking up all there is to see…swaying to Moussa Diakite & Wassado‘s blues, jazz, Cuban and Afro-rock sound, seeing the charismatic Lura with her Portuguese and Cape Verdean heritage, and signing off with Tex,Don & Charlie…ahh, till next year Womad you beautiful thing!
